Dr. Robert Kinscherff, a professor in the clinical psychology department at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ³ÉÈËÔÚÏß, authored a letter to the editor in the July 19, 2024 edition of The Boston Globe supporting on raising the age for juvenile offenders. He notes that research from the , where he is executive director, shows that young adult brains are similar to those of adolescents, especially in emotionally charged situations.

In the letter, Kinscherff advocates for continued legislative alignment with scientific findings in criminal justice policy.
