Scholarships for School Psychology Students

Mental Health Services Professional (MHSP) Fellowship

91香蕉视频成人在线 has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Mental Health Services Professional (MHSP) Demonstration Grant Program. This grant will help support the growth and expansion of a diverse behavioral health workforce to deliver care to children and adolescents in high-need schools across Massachusetts. Incoming and current MA/CAGS in School Psychology students, who meet the eligibility requirements, are encouraged to apply for the scholarship (up to $25,000).  Eligible students can also apply for practicum and internship stipends ranging from $10,000-13,000 in Years 2 and 3. School Psychology Commitment to Social Justice Scholarship

School Psychology MA/CAGS applicants are invited to apply for the School Psychology Commitment to Social Justice Scholarship (up to $12,000). This scholarship will be awarded to School Psychology applicants with a strong commitment to social justice.  Interested applicants must  upload with their application an additional brief essay that describes their commitment to social justice in a school setting and any relevant personal or professional experience that has instilled this commitment.


The Gayle and Richard Macklem Endowed Scholarship  

The Gayle and Richard Macklem Scholarship was established to support a matriculated graduate student who has completed the second year of the School Psychology MA/CAGS Program at 91香蕉视频成人在线. This scholarship will provide a $5000 scholarship to support the selected student(s) who is/are completing the required 1,200-hour internship in their progress toward degree completion, and on track to complete their degree, specifically within the School Psychology MA/CAGS program.

Gayle Macklem鈥檚 legacy as a long-time adjunct faculty member in the School Psychology program has left a profound imprint on the department and its students. Over a remarkable 13 years, Gayle served as the inaugural instructor and course developer for the Preventive Mental Health in the Schools course and was influential in revamping the Ethics and Law class. 

Gayle and her husband, Richard, have been steadfast advocates for School Psychology. Gayle has worked tirelessly to recruit new school psychologists, especially those from historically underrepresented backgrounds, and has been a significant supporter of the profession and 91香蕉视频成人在线.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Student must be in good academic standing and on schedule to complete their 1,200-hour internship in a Massachusetts or New England (RI, NH, VT, ME) Public School District
  • Student must demonstrate the need for financial support

Preferred Criteria

  • Students who self-identify as a member of an underrepresented group
  • Multilingual students who intend to work with multilingual populations   

William James Institutional Scholarships

Cynthia Lucero Scholarship

Named after the late Cynthia Lucero, PsyD, a 91香蕉视频成人在线 graduate from Ecuador, the Cynthia Lucero Scholarship is awarded each year to a deserving student with a strong commitment to working in the area of Latino Mental Health. Applicants to our graduate programs who are interested in participating in the Latino Mental Health Program (LMHP) are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, which awards $15,000 per year for a maximum of four years to the recipient. Interested applicants must submit an essay no more than 500 words detailing their skills, interest in LMHP and professional goals. In addition to maintaining good academic standing, Lucero Scholars must have at least intermediate Spanish fluency and participate in LMHP activities such as mentoring other students and representing 91香蕉视频成人在线 at fundraisers, events and admissions activities. Serving the Mental Health Needs of the Underserved Scholarship

Supporting graduate students dedicated to providing culturally-informed services to underserved communities, our highly-competitive Serving the Mental Health Needs of the Underserved scholarship covers 2/3 of tuition costs to full-time students in a MA, CAGS or PsyD program at 91香蕉视频成人在线. Applicants will be evaluated based on a combination of academic achievement, leadership skills, community service and financial need. They must also show evidence of advocacy of historically underserved communities and groups through the scholarship application and complete a 500-word essay.
